Birmingham Sealife Visit
In July of this year, Dr Sally Hulton and clinic nurse Lesley Lee from the renal unit at Birmingham Children’s Hospital took a group of children with Cystinosis who are patients of the unit, along with their parents and their siblings, to the Sealife Centre in Birmingham.
The trip was sponsored by Orphan Europe who manufacture the medication that the children take to help control their condition.
It was a very hot day but lots of cool drinks were taken and ice creams eaten half way round. Everyone really enjoyed themselves and it was decided that this should become an annual event with a different venue next year.
We thank both Orphan Europe, who supplied the parents’ tickets, and Birmingham Children’s Hospital, who supplied the children’s tickets.
