A Short Cut To Success
On 30th January, a sponsored hair-cut will be held for the Cystinosis Foundation UK. Charity trustee, David Benford, picks up the story:
On 30th January Mrs Sue Smith, a teaching assistant at St Andrew’s Primary School in Clifton Campvile, Staffordshire, will be having her hair cut by 10-year-old Darcy Benford to raise much-needed funds for the Cystinosis Foundation UK. This will take place in front of the whole school and as a safety precaution Darcy will be supervised by a real hairdresser!
So far they have raised over £500 and are aiming to raise even more. Darcy, who was diagnosed with cystinosis at 10 months old, is really excited about the event and is pondering on which style would suit Mrs Smith the most! Photographs will be posted on the Foundation’s website after the event.
To sponsor Sue please go to: www.justgiving.com/Susan-Smithcrazylady.
Good luck Sue & Darcy!!
