Help us Raise £200,000 for Cystinosis Research
Our Past Success
In 2004, we launched our campaign to raise £100,000 to enable us to fund projects focusing
on Cystinosis research. In December 2006 we reached our target thanks to the many people who
became involved in organising various fundraising events. This has enabled us to commit
to further funding of research projects at Sunderland University and Robert Gordon University (Aberdeen)
that are looking to improve Cystinosis treatment.
Doing It All Again!
In February 2007 the committee made the decision to attempt to raise a further £100,000
to continue our commitment to research - a commitment we can only make once we have actually
raised the money, as we must be able to fully fund a project before research staff can be hired,
equipment bought, etc. As of August 2008, we have raised £138,030, which is amazing progress, but there is still
a way to go.
