Why We Need Your Help
What Do We Do?
The Cystinosis Foundation UK is wholly funded through donations from individuals, companies and fundraising
activities by the charity and individuals.
You can read more detail about our activities in charity activities page,
however, in summary, we use monies raised to enable us to:
- Fund Research - we already support private research projects and intend to continue
our support of current programmes and assist in the initiation of others.
- Support Sufferers and their families - our support groups assist families in their
daily lives, whilst our organising and attendance of conferences helps increase our knowledge and
understanding of Cystinosis and enable us to educate others.
- World-wide Progress - the Cystinosis Foundation UK is only one of
many organisations world-wide and we attempt to keep in regular contact with these organisations to
further our knowledge of Cystinosis.
- Continue the Foundation to support the above - whilst we greatly rely on the free
time of our volunteers to enable us to achieve our aims, the Foundation incurs
administration costs (such as funding newsletters, telephone calls, etc.).
How Can I Help?
There are several key ways in which you can help us.
- Become a member of the Foundation - joining the Foundation not only helps us
but allows us to give you regular updates on our progress.
- Make a donation - a monetary donation helps us fund our activities, promote
research or help a Cystinotic.
- Be sponsored - taking part in a local charity event not only raises money,
but also raises awareness.
- Organise an event - organise an event, from a coffee morning with friends
to a sponsored sky dive...
- Offer your time and services - we need help from newsletters to running
support groups. Any skill or time you can offer us, helps us help others. Please
contact us if you wish to help.
We Appreciate Your Help!
No matter how big or small your contribution, whether it be time or finanicial, we truly appreciate
all offers of assistance to help combat Cystinosis and improve the lives of those who suffer.
