Further funding allocated to Sunderland drug research

Cystinosis Foundation UK is delighted to have been able to award an additional £125,000 to scientists at the University of Sunderland. The money will go towards an ongoing project, previously supported by CFUK and run by Professor Roz Anderson and Dr Lisa Frost, to research the potential use of prodrugs as a treatment for cystinosis. Read more details about this, as well as a visit to the laboratory where the magic happens by Trustee David Benford and his daughter Darcy, on the University of Sunderland website:

This funding would not have been possible without the tireless fundraising that continues to take place in the cystinosis community in the UK. CFUK would like to reiterate their thanks to you all for all your hard work in the past few years and in the years to come, which will allow us to continue to fund projects of this nature.
