Elizabeth Forsyth, grandmother to Cystinosis sufferer Lena Forysth, has again been busy raising funds for the Cystinosis Foundation UK. She spent the weekend at her local Asda in Peterhead, selling raffle tickets, quizzes and Cystinosis tea towels, raising £811.84 in the process.
The event was organised by her son-in-law, Andrew, who works at the Asda store, and Elizabeth would like to thank Andrew, the Asda manager, Mr Lyndsay, all those who donated prizes and everyone that helped her to raise such a fantastic amount.
Elizabeth says of the experience “I’m just over the moon. I was rather chilly, but once I started counting the pennies I was delighted”.
This is just one of many events Elizabeth has organised for the Cystinosis Foundation UK and we’d like to take this opportunity to thank her, not only for her efforts at Asda, but the on-going support she has given to the Foundation – Lena is lucky to have such a caring grandmother.
