Self-defence Class Raises £250

Self Defence Class Organisers On May 6th, a self-defence class was organised at St Andrews CE Primary School in Tamworth (near Birmingham), with all proceeds raised from the class going to the Cystinosis Foundation UK.

£250 was raised by the class, which included particularly generous donations from Mr & Mrs Benson of Clifton Campville and Mr & Mrs Cannon of Haunton. Class organiser, David Benford, would also like to thank James, Tom & Nick of Shogun Karate Academies for not only giving up their time to run the class, but also paying £6.00 each for the privilege.

The Cystinosis Foundation UK would like to thank all of those involved who helped raise money towards our research campaign and, in particular, David Benford for organising the class and his wife, Clare, who helped in the running of a creche for the children the same afternoon – we are told the children had a fabulous time, especially the Benford’s own daughter Darcy.
