On 10th March 2019 the Cinematic Syncopations Orchestra are hosting an afternoon of music from an array of movies, at the Blackheath Halls in South East London. Profits from the concert will be donated to Cystinosis Foundation UK, in memory of Andrew Storer who had cystinosis and sadly passed away in 2017.
More Information:
Experience an afternoon of movie magic with the Cinematic Syncopations Orchestra conducted by our very own sorceress Megan Storer. Together we will cast a spell to transport you and your family into a mysterious world full of pirates, witches, hobbits and goblins, as we take you on a musical learning journey through the tunes behind the biggest blockbusters past, present and future! Any brave young adventures are welcome. All proceeds go to the Cystinosis Foundation UK charity.
The orchestra, currently holding around 60 members, is dedicated to our conductor and founder Megan Storer’s late brother, who was a big fan of film music, especially Star Wars. Our vision is to bring high quality classical music to all ages through a joint love of the big screen! Our concerts are exciting and educational and we are also expanding our school workshop programme to inspire the younger generation.
We aim to raise money for Cystinosis Foundation UK, a charity supporting the incredibly rare disease Megan’s brother passed away from. All concert profits are donated to the charity. Megan wants to expand the knowledge of this disease, and to help the charity raise enough money so that one day they discover a better treatment.
