Tough Mudder Iain Raises £17,000

Iain McGilvray has raised over £17,000 for Cystinosis Foundation UK by completing a gruelling “Tough Mudder” event in June this year. He had to endure mud climbs, ice baths and even electric shocks!

Iain decided to do the event after his cousin, Joel was recently diagnosed with cystinosis. He set a target of £5,000 but surpassed this amount to reach £17,000 in donations. In real terms once gift aid is added to this amount it means the charity receives £21,000, which will of course be put to good use.

Luckily Iain survived the electric shocks and was able to enjoy a beer and some fish and chips, Iain kindly sent us some pictures of the event, shown below.

Thanks Iain!
