Twenty-six scientific abstracts studying the treatment and cause of Cystinosis originating from researchers from all over the world have been published in the October 2008 edition of Pediatric Nephrology. These 26 abstracts are the result of various grants totaling $6.5 million from the Cystinosis Research Foundation (Natalie’s Wish). To say this is a staggering amount to have raised and donated to research is an understatement. We truly hope to see these projects take us a step closer to a final solution, fulfilling the wish of Cystinosis sufferer, Natalie Stack, who is the inspiration behind the Cystinosis Research Foundation (Natalie’s Wish).

The Cystinosis Research Foundation (Natalie’s Wish) was formed in 2003 after Cystinosis sufferer Natalie Stack asked for a cure to Cystinosis for her 12th birthday. To date, the charity has raised over $8 million to fund research projects across the globe.
