Competition Now Closed
The Cystinosis Foundation UK is launching a competition for a new logo and inviting you to design it. We have no pre-conceptions of what this new logo should look like, so only your imagination is the limit! However, when coming up with your ideas, here are a few things to bear in mind:
The logo must be easy to reproduce in large and small sizes.
Your design must be original (i.e. not infringe any other person’s copyright).
Ideally it should reflect the Cystinosis Foundation UK and its aims.
Please be aware of the competition rules below.
There will be a small prize for the winner (TBA), and the knowledge that you are helping promote the Foundation. You can either email or send your entries to the below address. Please remember to include your own name and address with entries:

Competition Rules
You should keep copies of material submitted as original entries will not be returned.
You must submit your logo before the deadline of midnight on 4th April 2010 GMT. Entries accepted at judges’ discretion after this date.
The judges’ reserve the right to reject any entry that does not comply with the requirements of the competition.
By submitting your logo, you agree that the logo may be used for presentation in events and media related to the logo competition.
This could be the presentation in printed documents, the presentation at an exhibition, on websites, videos, DVD or television. You agree not to use the logo in any other way during the period of the competition. Besides this right of usage, all other copyrights will remain with you, unless you win.
By submitting your logo, you confirm that you have read and understood the competition rules and agree to the transfer of rights, should you win.
If you win the logo competition, your logo could be very widely used. In this case, you agree to the full assignment of all copyrights to the Cystinosis Foundation UK.
All exclusive and transferable rights to use, publish, advertise, copy, modify, alter and reproduce the logo in any possible
(commercial and non-commercial) way shall be assigned free of charge to the Cystinosis Foundation UK.
The exclusive right means that no other person will be allowed to use the logo, including you.
The assigned rights are not restricted by time, region or to a specific type of usage. It also includes the right to transfer the
rights to third persons and to grant sublicenses as well as the right to use the logo in any media, including TV, internet, radio, the
press, all printed advertising media, CD/DVD or all other data-carriers, for merchandising and to be printed on all kinds of objects,
packages and documents.
As far as it is allowed by the law, the entrant also assigns any undiscovered rights to the Cystinosis Foundation UK.
The Cystinosis Foundation UK shall also have the right to modify and change the logo, to undertake a professional redesign, to create
different versions of the logo with regards to colour, size, format, resolution and all other attributes without any limitation.
The Cystinosis Foundation UK shall have the right to use the logo as described above, but there shall also be no obligation to use
the logo.
