9th International Cystinosis Congress to Take Place in Spain

Valencia, Spain

Cystinosis Foundation (based in the USA) have announced that the next international cystinosis congress is to take place at the Barcelo Valencia Hotel in Valencia, Spain between the 30th June and 2nd July, 2016. Valencia is the third largest city in Spain and is situated on the east coast.

The last of these events took place in Manchester, England in 2014. The conference in Spain will be the 9th such event, given the success of previous events it is definitely worth attending if you or a family member has cystinosis. The UK event last year consisted of many talks from leading doctors and researchers in cystinosis treatments, plus the chance to ask questions and meet other people with shared experiences. The congress next year will have similar offering and will present a chance to learn of any new developments for cystinosis patients.

Cystinosis Foundation, which was founded in 1983, describes the event as “the largest and most diverse gathering of Cystinosis patients, their families and experts in the world. The opportunities to make lifelong friends abound and the latest updates in Cystinosis research will be presented by the medical experts.

Holding the event in Valencia gives conference attendees the chance to experience the beautiful city and its attractions including a planetarium, interactive museum and oceanarium and major monuments including the Valencia Cathedral, Museu de Belles Arts de Valencia, housing works by El Greco and Goya.

Details on how to purchase tickets for the congress will be announced soon, please check our website every so often for further updates.
