For a brighter future...
A big thank you to Scott Hutchison of the band Frightened Rabbit for raising nearly £800 for CFUK over Christmas. Scott, uncle to 2 year-old Morven Hutchison, who has cystinosis, wrote, recorded and published this festive number in a single day just before Christmas. In the true spirit of Christmas, all he asked for in return was a donation to the Foundation.
Frightened Rabbit, whose upcoming single “The Woodpile” can currently be heard on various radio stations, have been a strong supporter of the charity since Morven was diagnosed in 2010. Through merchandise sales, guest list charges and auctions of memorabilia, amongst other avenues, they have raised significant amounts for the charity, which will all be put to good use in funding research into treatments for the condition. Thanks to everyone associated with the band, including Scott and his brother Grant, also a member.
