Brave Mum To Donate Kidney

On June 18th Michelle Smith (37), from Leven in Fife, is to undergo an operation to donate one of her kidneys to her 18-year-old son, Michael Corrigan, in order to help improve the quality of his life. Michael suffers from Cystinosis and has already undergone one kidney transplant at 12 years old. Unfortunately, this has not gone well and led to the need for his mother to step in and donate one of her own.
