CHARITY NIGHT IN MEMORY OF JACK CHAPMAN
On Saturday 7th November 2009 a charity night was held at The Docklands Sailing Club in London to raise money for the Cystinosis Foundation UK. The event was a complete sell out and the atmosphere was amazing. We were very fortunate that we had lots of items donated to auction and raffle. Foundation founder, Jonathan Terry, came along to give his support. He gave a speech about Cystinosis and what the Foundation do.
The raffle and the auction were a great success and all who attended gave very generously. We had a fantastic night and the event raised £7,310.
In all with the shark dive that was done in October and with a personal donation of £1,000 from Joseph & Keeley Galea we sent a cheque for £11,408 to the Foundation.
This was the first event we have held for the Foundation and hope that we will have many more in the future.
