The Cystinosis Foundation would like to thank Robert and Myra Mellors for raising £500 for the Cystinosis Foundation UK.
Myra Mellors supported the Foundation by running in the Bupa Great Winter Run at Holyrood Park in Edinburgh last month, and was kindly sponsored by her husband’s firm Tutsan Ltd.
They were motivated to support the Foundation on hearing the story of a friend’s daughter who has Cystinosis.
"I was very moved by her story and after talking to my husband Robert about it, he agreed to sponsor me" says Myra, "I feel smaller charities such as yours often don’t get the attention they deserve".
The Cystinosis Foundation UK is run on a voluntary basis and we rely solely on the money raised by those supporting us in order to fund several UK based research projects. We are grateful to Tutsan Ltd for their kind donation and to Myra Mellor for participating in the Great Winter Run.
