Congratulations to 27-year-old Geno Bonnalie, of Lewiston, Idaho, USA, who set a new world record for playing the most holes of golf in a week and the greatest number of birdies in a week. Geno spent 6 days playing 2,000 holes and recorded 497 birdies in the process. He was eventually persuaded to stop his marathon by his sister who was becoming worried about the pain and suffering Geno was enduring from severally blistered hands.
However, not only did Geno smash the previous world record of 1850 holes and 250 birdies, he raised around $16,000 for the Cystinosis Research Foundation USA, too!!
