‘Great Big Glitter Ball’ – A Great Big Success!

On 4th March 2017, 260 guests enjoyed a fabulous evening of entertainment at this year’s ‘Great Big Glitter Ball’. The event was held at Prestonfield House Hotel in Edinburgh, in aid of Cystinosis Foundation UK. A massive £62,000 was raised from the night, through a raffle, lucky dip, silent auction and a grand auction.

Entertainment included De Lighters Fire throwers, the Myugenko Taiko Drummers and the fantastic Flavours band, all hosted by Forth FM’s Arlene Stuart.

We would like to thank everyone involved in the ball committee that organised the event. We and the committee would also like to thank those who generously donated prizes for the raffles and auctions, plus everyone who attended the event. The money raised will make a big difference in allowing us to continue funding research into improved treatments for cystinosis. Also, a video titled ‘A Brighter Future’ was created specifically for the event, to help raise awareness of cystinosis and encourage guests to dig deep, by showing them how their donations can help make a difference. You can watch the video below or on YouTube.

Please share this video with your friends to help raise awareness of this very rare condition.
