SUPPORTING INDIVIDUALS, FAMILIES AND RESEARCHERS
IN THE CYSTINOSIS COMMUNITY

International Cystinosis Conference Report

On June 27 and 28th of this year, the biennial International Cystinosis Conference was held in Dublin, Ireland. Over 200 delegates attended, including researchers, medical practitioners, representatives from the Irish government, Cystinosis sufferers, families of sufferers and many others.

The theme of the conference was “dreams to reality” – how far have we come since Cystinosis was first recognised and the first organisations began to participate in Cystinosis research, and how far have we yet to go? Several members of the Cystinosis Foundation UK attended the conference and we are pleased to present several reports from the conference.

More information can also be found at the website for the Cystinosis Foundation Ireland who organised this year’s conference.

In addition, we would like to thank the Cystinosis Foundation Ireland for an incredibly well organised event that we feel was beneficial to all those who attended. It was truly a memorable experience!
