Longside Gala Stall Raises £91

May 22nd saw Vicky and Roy Forsyth, along with their daughter Lena, Auntie Philippa and Uncle Matt, hosting a
Cystinosis Foundation UK stall at the Longside Gala, near Aberdeen.

The couple had organised various activities, including a tombolla, “spin the wheel and win a prize”, “guess the teddy’s birthday” and a “lucky number” raffle for local shop vouchers, which raised £91.

The gala also included a pipe band and classic car parade. Two local girls were chosen to be gala princesses and take part in the opening parade – and Lena was allowed to accompany the princesses!! Furthermore, Lena was also presented with a £11,000 cheque for the Cystinosis Foundation UK following a local charity cycle ride that had been held the previous year. Roy participated in this event that took the cyclists 36 miles around the local area.

However, Lena tells me that the highlight of the day was the trip down the big slide with Auntie Philippa and the bouncy castle!!
