Runners Raise £1, 262 in Aberdeen 10K Run

Runners after the raceOn May 22nd 2005, six staff from Pelikan Hardcopy (based in Turriff, between Aberdeen and Inverness) took the challenge to run the Aberdeen Baker Hughes 10K race, in order to raise money for the Cystinosis Foundation UK. We are pleased to announce that all six successfully managed to complete the course and raise £1, 262.20 in the process!

The team decided to raise funds for the Foundation after team organiser, Doug Niven, heard how his former work colleague Roy Forysth and Roy’s wife, Vicky, have been supporting the Foundation in the campaign to raise £100,000 to fund Cystinosis medical research projects. Roy and Vickys’ daughter, Lena, suffers from Cystinosis.
